Alternative medicine:-Good morning Durani Maraj- you asked me a question of whether or not I believe in alternative medicine. The answer is twofold. I have great respect for the western based medicine and the advances that they have made in both services and pharmaceutical therapies that have proven success rates and they are to be commended. Here comes the BUT; I do, however, believe with my whole being the importance of integrative holistic therapies that use practices, techniques and education to enlist and ignite individuals to the importance of blending the positives from both models to gain a more authentic approach to achieving optimal health.
Western medicine is limiting and its primary focus is on disease, and symptom management and total alternative medicine is too rigid in its approach that all traditional medicine does more harm than good.
I have devoted most of my life in learning and obtaining various health professional licenses, certifications and practices to invite individuals, clients, and patients to assume a responsibility in their health. Empowering them to partner with their health care professionals, to set short and long term goals, integrating a more fulfilled health and wellness life style. Creating and maintaining a bridge between traditional and holistic integrative models is the way of the future. It will sustain a more profound and complete health care system and decrease costs of health care and transform the lives of those who seek a more inclusive holistic approach to their optimal state of being.,
